In an Instagram post on Friday, the 56-year-old actor shared with his followers that he had “just finished our end of the week Fast meeting with the writers and the whole team.”
“To say the excitement for our finale was incredibly powerful is an understatement. Wow. So exciting … " Diesel added.
“Your commitment to our saga has had a unique impact on its success and evolution … as my youngest daughter would say, it’s profound,” the actor wrote to fans of the franchise.
“This grand finale is not just an ending; it’s a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together.”
Fast X, the tenth film in the action saga, opened in the summer of 2023. The 11th, and rumored final film in the franchise, is expected to be released in 2025.

Bryan Freedman, a lawyer for Diesel, said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time, “Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety.”
The lawsuit — a complaint for damages against Diesel, his sisterSamantha Vincentand their production company One Race Films — claims sexual battery, discrimination on the basis of sex/gender, intentional infliction of emotional distress, hostile work environment, wrongful termination and retaliation.
The suit alleges that hours after the incident in Diesel’s hotel suite, throughout which the plaintiff “continually pleaded with him to stop,” Vincent terminated Jonasson’s employment with the production company. It also details another inappropriate incident in Atlanta allegedly involving a One Race supervisor summoning Jonasson to his hotel room and inviting her into bed.
Reps for Diesel and One Race Films did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.
Fast and Furious 11is expected to open in theaters in 2025.
