Evertt, 59, and his costarsCameron Diaz,Dermot MulroneyandJulia Robertsreunited forEW‘s romantic comedy issue, andreminiscedabout having Mulroney’s dog on set, Roberts’ crop tops and singing karaoke in Chicago ahead of filming.
“We went to an actual karaoke joint,”Mulroney, 55, recalls of preparing for one of the movie’s most memorable scenes with Roberts. “I’d never done karaoke before, you seemed to have had some experience. So skillful at karaoke that night. But we were using aliases because we didn’t want our names … I was Tom and she was Nicole, which at the time was funny because it was about 22 years ago. As for what food critic and amateur saboteur Julianne may be up to in 2019, Roberts, 51, suggests she’s “a marriage counselor.”
“Those who can’t, teach,” she says.
