Sarah Paulsoncouldn’t help but gush about girlfriendHolland Taylorduring an appearance onThe ViewTuesday.
While appearing to promote her new Broadway playAppropriate,the actressdiscussed her eight-year relationship to Taylor, whom she said has made everything in her life make sense.
“I am thrilled and I feel very lucky to be with a person who is smarter, wiser, wittier than I, and that just makes my life better in every possible way” said Paulson. “It makes me want to be a better person and a fully realized person.”
Added Paulson, 48: “She just also makes me feel seen, which I think is the most important gift you can give to any person.”

Paulson and Taylor, 80, firstwent public with their relationshipin December 2015. The two stars met at a party in 2005 but didn’t start dating until a decade later after they reconnected over social media.
“I actually had her picture on my refrigerator for 10 years before we were together — which sounds strange,” Paulson toldViewpanelistsWhoopi Goldberg,Sara Haines,Joy Behar,Sunny HostinandAlyssa Farah Griffin.
She went on to explain that the two were at a dinner party alongside a group that included Oscar winnerAllison Janneyandthe late screenwriter Buck Henrywhen they they spotted a Lamborghini parked outside the restaurant. “We walked out and were like, ‘What?’ and we all jumped on top of the car and took this picture,” Paulson said, explaining that Henry snapped the photograph. “He sent us all copies and it was on my refrigerator in my little apartment in West Hollywood for 10 years before we [dated], so it was weird….”
“She’s great,” the actress added.

Paulson and Taylor have been supportive of one another since going public with their relationship, standing hand-in-hand on red carpet premiere and award season ceremonies, as well as documenting their relationship highlights in sweet social media posts.
Taylorchatted about her romancewith Paulson during a January 2017 interview on Radio Andy’sSandylandbroadcast, gushing that Paulson makes her feel like “the luckiest person in the world.”
“I must say it has to be part of what has to be the most wonderful thing in my life, is the whole embrace of this wonderful relationship which makes everything else makes sense,” she added. “I can’t talk about my life today and not mention this wonderful love.”
