Police found no visible injuries on the man who killedAngie Harmon’s dog over Easter weekend.
A spokesperson from the department told PEOPLE that while the man, identified as Christopher Reid in the police report, told officers he was attacked, authorities did not find any visible injuries on him.
“Our officers investigated the incident thoroughly and ultimately decided not to pursue charges,” the spokesperson added. “The police are not seeking additional parties. The case is now closed.”
CMPD’s Animal Care and Control also responded to the scene on Saturday, March 30.

Harmon, 51, also said the man admitted shooting her “precious” canine, but police let him go because “he claimed self-defense.”
While sharing the news of Oliver’s death in anInstagram poston Monday, April 1, Harmon, 51, said the gunshot was fired after the man “got out of his car” and “delivered the food.”
“He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn," said Harmon.
Harmon echoed the same sentiments in an Instagram Stories post that same day, expressing that the man’s actions were “despicable and inexcusable.”
Two days later, sheshared an inspirational quote with her Instagram followers, encouraging them not to “give up.”

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Instacart said it was “deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident,” noting that Reid was suspended from its platform.
