On Friday, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended a special reception at Buckingham Palace held in honor ofKing Charles.

After welcoming governors-general and prime ministers of the realm at apalace lunchand doing asurprise walkaboutin London earlier in the day,Prince William, 40, and Princess Kate, 41, popped up at the royal residence again to help host the coronation reception for overseas guests. There, they mingled with many of theforeign royal familieswho traveled to the U.K. to attend King Charles' coronation.

Princess Kate was spotted chatting with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark as well as U.S. First Lady Jill Biden and her granddaughter Finnegan Biden during the reception. Kate also reconnected with the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.

It’s likely thatPrince Williamand Princess Kate won’t be drinking much at the reception. When the pair visited a London pub on Thursday, the prince told some people gathered outside that he “just had a bit of cider” inside before adding that he was putting his coronation responsibilities first. “I will drink after the coronationbut not now,” he quipped.

Attendees of the evening reception included Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, King Jigme Kesar and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, former queen Princess Beatrix and future queen Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, King Philippe and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium,King Carl XVI GustafandCrown Princess Victoriaof Sweden.

King Charles Hosts Reception At Buckingham Palace Ahead Of Coronation Day
