NASA Astronauts , who are true American heroes , aboard the ISS can vote in the presidential election tomorrow too . How ? It ’s not like there are any polling stations near them . Well , it ’s sort of like an absentee ballot but obviously dissimilar because it ’s from FREAKING SPACE .

spaceman residing on the orbiting lab receive a digital interlingual rendition of their ballot , which is beamed up by Mission Control at the government agency ’s Johnson Space Center ( JSC ) in Houston . Filled - out vote find their way of life back down to Earth along the same way .
“ They send it back to Mission Control , ” read NASA spokesman Jay Bolden of JSC . “ It ’s a secure voting that is then sent direct to the voting authorities . ”
