This is a massive , prehistorical - looking demon , resembling a deplorable , mutant tortoise with a dumbass - shaped snout over four narrow center . As it snarls at Jake , a sports fan of striking purple frond flares on top of its head .
Spellman and Augustine enter the plantation and Augustine warns Jake not to flash the fauna , as its armor is too tough for the torpedo to be of usage , and it ’s make a territorial display . “ suffer your ground , ” she say and Jake runs at the beast , making himself as big as he can . The tortoise creature runs off , and we can see a handful of similar fauna nearby .
Jakes whoop in triumph . “ That ’s correct . Who ’s tough ? ” But behind him , we see a far more dire creature crawling out from the tree . This one has a minute head , with fearsome tooth at the very front , and black and ruby vertebral column waving from its neck opening . The head await almost like a moray eel eel ’s , but the dark body looks like a Panthera tigris ’s . It spring out toward the other tortoise creatures , spread out them .
Jake turn to Augustine . “ What about this one ? bide or run ? ”
Without vacillation , she screams , “ die hard ! ” and does . Fast . Jake runs too , but the eel - tiger - spiney brute furrow him through the jungle . At one point , Jake dives into an opening of a tree to escape , but the beast shove its lissome promontory inside , cornering him . Jake starts shooting at it , which trouble it long enough for him to slip out , but he ’s wedge to drop his artillery in the cognitive operation . Jake retrieves his marijuana cigarette from a pool of water and suddenly notice the bioluminescent beauty of Pandora . I can not overstate how unbelievable this looks — the plant are a spectacle of greens , blues , pinks , and purples without being the slightest bit gaudy . Some of the plants look like jungle flowers , others like hanging butterfly backstage . Whenever Jake touches anything , the glowing vegetation wavelet and heart rate . Even his freckles glow green .
He interrupts Neytiri ’s praying to thank her . “ I would have been eff without you . ”
Neytiri stops , incensed . “ Do n’t thank , ” she enounce in thick accented English . “ You do n’t give thanks for this . This is sad . This is your flaw . They do n’t need to exit . ” She furiously wave him off . “ You ’re like a babe , making noise . ”

He capture up with her . “ Take me with you . ”
She shakes her head sharp . “ Go back . ” She starts to wrench away , but then something catches her attention . The comb jellyfish beast are back and are be adrift around them en masse shot . Jake starts to flick them away , but Neytiri grabs his hand and commands him to stop . She lets go and they settle on his physical structure , covering his outstretched arm and head .
“ They are the come of the Sacred Tree , ” she explain , awed , “ very pure booze . ”
When they disperse , Jake is calmed but mazed . “ What was that all about ? ”
Neytiri waves him to follow her . “ Come ! come up ! ”
Jake lopes behind her . “ Where are we going ? ” She does n’t reply , so Jake admire more of the glow fauna around him . He tap a immature anemone - like plant like a metal drum and smiles with delectation as the color ripples . likewise , the thick purple way of life beneath them glows with more intensiveness with each step .

Jake is now among the Na’Vi in a cave behind a falls . The other Na’Vi are manful , but Neytiri is there as well . The alpha Na’Vi walks up to Jake and calls him something that sounds like “ Shakes - a - Leaf ” and says with a smirk that he will go first .
Jake edges along a ledge behind the falls . Where the waterfall ends , he date a bevy of Draco flutter and grumbling on a rocky cliff .
