For longtime Android drug user , it was a sad day when Googlekilled off its lovely blobsand replace them with a more standard set of emoji alongside the release of Android Oreo . And while blobmoji sort of live on in Google messaging appAllo , with development for that app now on anindefinite abatement , it see like the blobs were fate to pop off again .
gratefully , it seems someone over at Google still cares about our wobbly little friends . In the latest update toGboard , the blob have come back in the form of a handy sticker ring . fit in tothe Verge , they ’ll also arrive in a upcoming plus toAndroid Messages .
While not quite as useful as true system - horizontal surface emoji , the blob sticker large number think of that , once again , you may tantalise all your friends and acquaintances well - jellified representations of your feelings . I mean really , is n’t this …

Unfortunately , while not all100 - plus original blobmojihave returned , many favorites include the octopus and the cat have been saved , and they have even been joined by a few revamped blob with new animations .
In Gboard , user should be able to get the new thorn load down now by only download an add - on from within the app . We ’ve reached out to Google to confirm that blobmoji will arrive on Android Messages and will update when we hear back , but we ’ll at least have to wait a small routine longer for an update before we can get down send blobs back and off once again .
