Per a report inBusiness Insider , as of Thursday , Facebook had two contract bridge positions for “ news credibleness specialiser ” open on its job site . The occupation are based out of Menlo Park , California , where the site is headquartered , and one of them lists smooth-spoken Spanish as a requirement :
“ We ’re seeking individuals with a heat for news media , who trust in Facebook ’s mission of making the world more connected , ” one of the two itemization reads . It continue : “ As a member of the squad , you ’ll be tasked with developing a cryptic expertness in Facebook ’s News Credibility Program . You ’ll be conducting investigations against predefined insurance . ”
Facebook would ask the medical specialist to help produce a lean of credible news organization . That list could be used for various features on the internet site , from the newsfeed to its advertising system of rules .
The listings have since been removed , but it ’s possible they will recreate not just a role in the combat against fake news show but enforcing obligingness with the site ’s young rules on political advertising transparence .
