Accurian Tabletop HD Radio Unboxing and Grope

We have n’t been too keen on the whole HD Radio concept , but at $ 175 the Accurian HD Radio ( which is available only throughRadio Shack ) is the least expensive model you may find , so we bit the bullet train and checked it out .

For those not in the know , HD Radio is basically a new digital radio format that makes your received FM stations sound sharp and percipient ( like CDs ) while also amend the sound of your AM stations ( making them vocalize like FM stations ) . The problem is , with the orbiter wireless twins occupy center level , HD Radio has been treated like a ruby - headed step fry . Nevertheless , we called in Accurian ’s unexampled Tabletop HD Radio . Adding insult to injury , the Tivoli sounded just as in effect , if not better , than the HD Radio .

As much as we adjudicate to like HD Radio it lacked the excitement of when we set about our firstXM radio set . We like that HD Radio displays artist information ( as does satellite ) and we enjoyed discovering the few local HD broadcasts in our expanse , but until pricing on the players function further in the south , it ’s best to preserve your money .
